One important thing you need to do when you are taking
your test for IELTS, never leave a single question unanswered because it will
also help you to get better score rather than getting none at all. This is like
a gambling but a good gambling. You need to use your instincts and background
knowledge to answer all the questions of the test. And by making sure that you
have already answered all the questions, it will give you better chance to get
good scores because you will never know whether your guessing is correct or
incorrect because anything could happen.
This would be really helpful on reading and also
listening sections. On both sections, you have to try your best to understand
the questions and make sure you answer them correctly. Or if it is not the
case, try to figure out what type of answers are needed for those type of
questions, whether it is true or false, multiple choices, short answers, fact
or opinion, and so on. And when you need to answer the questions on the answer
sheet, always keep track of the answers and mark the ones that you will not or
have not answered yet because if you lose track, you will only ruin all the
sequence of your answers that you have been sure.
And for listening section, you can try to answer the
questions temporarily on the booklet to save the time. After the tape stop
playing, you can transfer all the answers on the answer sheet. The only
suggestion we give to you is to read the next part of the listening section
between midsection because the tape will instruct you to check your answer. Do
not do that. And on the reading section, if you have many times spared, try to
guess the blank parts.
