TOEFL-iBT or IELTS?


This model discusses diversities between TOEFL-iBT and IELTS popped up on the day test. It begins by stating the items which can be seen from the TOEFL-iBT, and next IELTS as the following discussion. The end of this essay, 3 simple steps will rehabilitate an English learner as a great test taker.



TOEFL-iBT

Breaking down into 4 distinct sections called the TOEFL-iBT, a registered trademark of Educational Testing Service, requires students to show their ability to use Academic English such as listening to lectures on unfamiliar topics, orally paraphrasing and integrating information that they have just read and listened to, and writing a well-organized essay with detailed examples, correct grammar, and varied vocabulary. The structure of the test follow:



Reading section consists of 3 or 5 passages that are approximately 700-900 words. Each passage will be managed with 12 to 14 multiple-choice questions about the content of the passage. You will spend 60 to 100 minutes to complete the entire section.



Listening section will have 60 to 90 minutes to complete involving six to nine audio-sections. Each of which are three to five minutes long, and the practical points will be either lecturing or social language. After focusing on this part, it will be devoted by five to six multiple-choice questions (approximately).
